It shows that being literate is important for everyone; that studying Russian is not easy, but exciting and useful; unites everyone who can or wants to write and speak Russian.

Famous writers create unique dictation texts. In 2018, this is Guzel Yakhina – the author of the novel “Zuleikha Opens Her Eyes”, which received the Big Book Prize in 2015.

From March 9 to 11, St. Petersburg hosted the first AI.Hack hackathon dedicated to the creation of science-intensive projects in the interests of high-tech companies. The project is being implemented by Innopraktika, a non-governmental development institute and Science Guide, a platform for business scientists; the general partner is the corporate venture fund GPB Digital.

AI.Hack Spb gathered participants from Moscow, the Moscow Region and St. Petersburg: developers, neural network programmers, designers, machine learning and big data specialists. Over 200 participants and 30 experts from PJSC Gazprom Neft, Robomed Network, MTS, and other companies discussed, created and designed solutions in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning for three days.

The teams were faced with real tasks of companies interested in obtaining a technological and implementable solution. The hackathon’s prize fund was 600 thousand rubles.

The EORA DATA LAB team received a prize of 100 thousand rubles from Gazprom Neft PJSC for the solution to cluster customers based on data on the purchase of petroleum products and search for patterns of consumption of related goods and services. Using deep data analysis methods and the use of machine learning algorithms, the team members created a system for predicting relevant products based on possible customer requests.

Other prizes for solving the problems set by the companies were shared among themselves:

GucciGang team – a task from RoboMed – analysis of a dataset of anonymized sample of medical topics;

ML SWAT and AUCh teams – a task from Gazprom Neft PJSC – creating algorithms for predicting customer churn;

The “People’s Candidate” team – a task from the Center for Speech Technologies – to build an intelligent system for visual control of a pedestrian crossing.

The findSpeaker team won in the nomination “Own project on the subject of“ Artificial Intelligence ”, which created a tool for identifying a person by voice without reference to a specific text or keyword.

The jury paid special attention to the projects of the Bogatiri, BUTTERFLY and LLC HAClever teams. The guys didn’t have enough points to take the first places, but they showed interesting solutions and earned honorable mentions.

As Dmitry Krylov noted, the acting Director of the Directorate of Development Projects “Innopraktika”, the hackathon demonstrated the great potential of young Russian scientists in solving very specific and urgent problems of modern business on the basis of fundamentally new science-intensive technologies. “The main task of AI.Hack is to show businesses what modern science can actually do for them, and to demonstrate to young scientists how to make their developments an attractive product for business. The St. Petersburg hackathon is an excellent example of the implementation of this idea in practice, ”he noted.

The next AI.Hack Moscow hackathon will take place in Moscow on March 16-18. To take part, you must fill out an application on the website

On April 20 and 21, 2018, the Skolkovo Technopark and the campus of the Netology University of Online Professions, Moscow, will host Edmarketconf-2018 – a practical conference on online education.
